Hike-a-Thon
Evening Paddle
in support of the Ecology Action Centre
Join Musquodoboit Valley Outfitters for a relaxed evening paddle on the Musquodoboit River through the breathtaking 350-million-year-old granite uplands and the Shubenacadie glacial spillway formed at the end of the last Ice Age.
Whether you're looking to log more movement minutes toward your fundraising goal or simply spend a beautiful summer evening immersed in nature, we'd love to have you join us.
🗺️ Route
Meet MVOutfitters team at Crawfords Bridge. Parking is available near the river under the overpass and along the roadside.
We'll launch at 6:00pm and paddle up river over flat water to the majestic granite uplands before returning to Crawfords Bridge. This round-trip paddle is approximately 6 kms.

🛶 Boats
This route is suitable for kayaks, canoes, and SUPs. You're welcome to bring your own boat or rent one from us. We're pleased to offer exclusive discounted rates for registered Hike-a-Thon participants in support of the Ecology Action Centre. Rentals include life jackets, paddles, and boater safety kits.
Single Kayak: $30 (regularly $45)
Canoe: $50 (regularly $65)
Waivers
All participants are required to complete a Release of Liability Waiver prior to paddling.
Participants under the age of 19 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the Liability Waiver on their behalf. If a parent or legal guardian is also paddling, they only need to complete the Parent/Legal Guardian Waiver for themselves and their minor child(ren). They do not also need to complete the Adult (19+) Waiver.

Musquodoboit River Social Paddle

Connect and socialize with fellow paddlers while enjoying the serene beauty of the Musquodoboit River and supporting local community groups.

🛶 Boat Rentals
You can request kayak and canoe rentals during registration. We'll confirm within 24-hours. Reserve early as boats are limited and sold out last year.
UPDATE May 5th: Kayaks sold out. Limited canoes still available.
🚐 Shuttle Service
Musgo Rider and MV Outfitters will provide a shuttle between Dave's Landing and the Park. Seats are limited and must be reserved when completing the registration form.
If using the shuttle, drop off your gear and guests at the Park, then drive your vehicle to Dave's Landing to meet the shuttle back.
Cost: $10/per person. Cash only. Please bring exact change.
Times below reflect departure from Dave's Landing and arrival at Elderbank Park.
